Greenhouse screening for Fusarium wilt resistance in lupine
Fusarium wilt can cause total crop failure. Evaluation of Ffusarium resistance in heavily infected soil were performed in a grenhouse where the dominant fusarium species in the soil in descending order was F. oxysporum then F. avenaceum, F. culmorum, F. solani, F. gibbosum. Large fusarium wilt presure was observed and fully susceptible lines were completely destroyed by Fusarium wilt caused by F. oxisporum. Segregation in F2 and F3 in L. angustifolius showed that resistant genotypes have two dominant non-allelic resistance genes to wilt. We call this gene Relation to fusarium oxisporum (Rfo1,Rfo2). Susceptible genotypes have either two wild genes (++ ++) or one wild and one dominant resistant gene (++ Rfo2 Rfo2, or Rfo1Rfo1 ++). Crossing ‘++ Rfo2Rfo2’ to ‘Rfo1Rfo1 ++’ segregates in 9:7 resistant to susceptible in F2, respectively. The same segregation was observed by crossing ‘Rfo1Rfo1 Rfo2Rfo2’ to ‘++ ++’. We recommend the use of these resistant genes in breeding in areas with potential Fusarium wilt problems
Effects of Neutrino Inverse Seesaw Mechanism on the Sparticle Spectrum in CMSSM and NUHM2
We study the implications of the inverse seesaw mechanism (ISS) on the
sparticle spectrum in the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model
(CMSSM) and Non-Universal Higgs Model (NUHM2). Employing the maximal value of
the Dirac Yukawa coupling involving the up type Higgs doublet provides a 2-3
GeV enhancement of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass. This effect permits
one to have lighter colored sparticles in the CMSSM and NUHM2 scenarios with
LSP neutralino, which can be tested at LHC14. We present a variety of LHC
testable benchmark points with the desired LSP neutralino dark matter relic

BERT4Loc: BERT for Location -- POI Recommender System
Recommending points of interest is a difficult problem that requires precise
location information to be extracted from a location-based social media
platform. Another challenging and critical problem for such a location-aware
recommendation system is modelling users' preferences based on their historical
behaviors. We propose a location-aware recommender system based on
Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers for the purpose of
providing users with location-based recommendations. The proposed model
incorporates location data and user preferences. When compared to predicting
the next item of interest (location) at each position in a sequence, our model
can provide the user with more relevant results. Extensive experiments on a
benchmark dataset demonstrate that our model consistently outperforms a variety
of state-of-the-art sequential models
Development of Reaction Kinetics Model for the Production of Synthesis Gas from Dry Methane Reforming
The energy supply systems dependent on fossils and municipal solid waste (MSW) materials are primarily responsible for releasing greenhouse (GHG) gases and their related environmental hazards. The increasing amount of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) is the scientific community's main concern in this context. Reduction in the emission amount of both gases combined with the conversion technologies that would convert these total threat gases (CO2 and CH4) into valuable feedstocks will significantly lower their hazardous impact on climate change. The conversion technique known as dry methane reforming (DMR) utilizes CO2 and CH4 to produce a combustible gas mixture (CO+H2), popularly known as synthesis gas/or syngas. Therefore, this research study aims to explore and enlighten the characteristics of the DMR mechanism. The conversion behaviour of CO2 and CH4 was studied with modelling and simulation of the DMR process using MATLAB. The results showed that inlet gas flow has a significant impact on the reactions. In contrast, the inlet molar composition ratio of the reactions was found to have no substantial effect on the mechanism of DMR. Copyright © 2021 by Authors, Published by BCREC Group. Hydrophobic surfaces with tunable dynamic wetting properties via colloidal assembly of silica microspheres and gold nanoparticles
Hierarchically structured surfaces have been fabricated using a simple colloidal bottom-up approach. The substrates exhibit a wide range of wettability properties, expressed by water contact angles ranging from 110 ∘ to 166 ∘ . The liquid–solid adhesive characteristics vary from very sticky to non-sticky, exhibited by very large and negligible sliding angles, respectively. Silica spheres with diameters in the range 130–850 nm comprise the larger length scale entities in the hierarchical superstructures, while gold nanoparticles with diameters 13–45 nm are included as the smaller length scale features. Surfaces are derivatized with suitable chemical agents to render them (super)hydrophobic. Dynamic wetting properties in terms of contact angle hysteresis and sliding angles are discussed in relation to the surface morphology
Onshore to near-shore outsourcing transitions: unpacking tensions
This study is directed towards highlighting tensions of incoming and outgoing vendors during outsourcing in a near-shore context. Incoming-and-outgoing of vendors generate a complex form of relationship in which the participating organizations cooperate and compete simultaneously. It is of great importance to develop knowledge about this kind of relationship typically in the current GSE-related multi-sourcing environment. We carried out a longitudinal case study and utilized data from the 'Novo pay' project, which is available in the public domain. This project involved an outgoing New Zealand based vendor and incoming Australian based vendor. The results show that the demand for the same human resources, dependency upon cooperation and collaboration between vendors, reliance on each other system's configurations and utilizing similar strategies by the client, which worked for the previous vendor, generated a set of tensions which needed to be continuously managed throughout the project
Suppression of Higgsino mediated proton decay by cancellations in GUTs and strings
A mechanism for the enhancement for proton lifetime in
supersymmetric/supergravity (SUSY/SUGRA) grand unified theories (GUTs) and in
string theory models is discussed where Higgsino mediated proton decay arising
from color triplets (anti-triplets) with charges and
is suppressed by an internal cancellation due to contributions
from different sources. We exhibit the mechanism for an SU(5) model with
Higgs multiplets in addition to the usual Higgs structure of
the minimal model. This model contains both and
Higgs color triplets (anti-triplets) and simple constraints allow for a
complete suppression of Higgsino mediated proton decay. Suppression of proton
decay in an SU(5) model with Planck scale contributions is also considered. The
suppression mechanism is then exhibited for an SO(10) model with a unified
Higgs structure involving representations.The SU(5)

and the cancellation mechanism arises among these
contributions which mirrror the SU(5) case. The cancellation mechanism appears
to be more generally valid for a larger class of unification models.
Specifically the cancellation mechanism may play a role in string model
constructions to suppress proton decay from dimension five operators. The
mechanism allows for the suppression of proton decay consistent with current
data allowing for the possibility that proton decay may be visible in the next

Non-Local Deformation of a Supersymmetric Field Theory
In this paper, we will analyse a supersymmetric field theory deformed by
generalized uncertainty principle and Lifshitz scaling. It will be observed
that this deformed supersymmetric field theory contains non-local fractional
derivative terms. In order to construct such deformed N=1 supersymmetric
theory, a harmonic extension of functions will be used. However, the
supersymmetry will be only preserved for a free theory and will be broken by
